JBT Marel’s Fish division is excited to announce key organizational changes designed to strengthen its leadership and operational efficiency. These changes will better position the Fish division to continue their customer-driven focus on solutions and technological innovations that will ensure a strong, sustainable future for the seafood industry.

Highlighting JBT Marel’s ambition to enhance Service offerings to their global customers, Diego Lages has moved into the role of Director Service, Fish. Transitioning from his role as Global Sales Director, Diego Lages brings 26 years of experience in the fish industry. His deep knowledge and understanding of customer needs will be of great advantage to the Service team.

This feels like a return to the days when I built strong sales and service organizations in several countries around the globe. Stepping into the role of Director Sales, Fish, Jón Birgir Gunnarsson brings his extensive sales and leadership experience to drive growth. "I am proud to take on this new role. Growing up in Iceland, I have always been passionate about the seafood industry and automation. I am convinced that the complementary skills of our leadership team will elevate our relationship with customers to new heights. I look forward to contributing to our strategic vision and solidifying our position as a leader in the industry,” said Jón Birgir Gunnarson.

Along with the recent appointment of Skúli Sigurðsson as Vice President and General Manager, Fish, JBT Marel’s Fish leadership team combines decades of industry experience to ensure the needs of customers will be met and exceeded.
